Your exciting adventure awaits! Visit any Georges River Libraries branch during Book Week to pick up an adventure passport activity booklet. Collect passport stamps throughout the week to go into the draw to win a Book Week 2025 book bundle!


Story Times

Book Week Story Times

10.30am–11.15am | 3–5 year olds | All week

Travel into one of our branches for Story Time over Book Week to explore the shortlisted titles and complete related crafts. For children aged 3–5 years and their carers.

Weaving Workshop

Book Week After School Weaving

5–12 year olds | Various dates and locations | Bookings essential

Read Afloat (by Kirli Saunders and Freya Blackwood) together, and learn ancient weaving techniques from First Nations artist Amy Hill.

Afloat (shortlisted for Picture Book of the Year) is an uplifting and inspiring picture book that uses the practice of weaving as a powerful metaphor for honouring and teaching First Nations wisdom, and the coming together of all people to survive, thrive, and create a more hopeful future.

Book Week Bingo for YA Readers

Ready, set, read! Young Adult Readers are invited to explore the CBCA Book Week notables list for Older Readers for their chance to win prizes.

Visit any Georges River Libraries branch during Book Week to collect your prize if you have read a BINGO on the Bingo card before the end of Book Week!
