Musical Instrument Collection



Georges River Libraries offers one of the largest musical instrument collections for loan in Australia with a huge selection to choose from. The collection includes over 100 items including acoustic and electric guitars, percussion, amplifiers, keyboards, accessories, recording equipment and much more that will inspire you to learn and create.


How to Borrow:

The entire collection can be retrieved by simply typing ‘ Musical Instrument Collection’ into the search box in the library catalogue.

  • Maximum of 3 items per card at any one time may be borrowed.
  • Borrowing period is 3 weeks with a maximum of 2 renewals.
  • The collection will only be available from Hurstville Library with the standard loan conditions.

Recording Packs:

In addition to the items available for loan, we have assembled the following recording packs that are available for in-house loan. This ensures ready access to all of the gear you need to experiment and create:

Podcast Pack: Microphones, headphones and mic stands which are easy to set up and record.

Electric Guitar Pack: Contains Squier Starcaster electric guitar, amplifier, guitar pedal, headphones, tuner, capo, plectrum and guitar lead.

Record a Song Pack: Microphones, cables and accessories.

The Sound Booth at Hurstville Library is fitted with everything required to record music, including an 8-channel mixer.
