What is the Home Library Service?
We offer free delivery of library materials to residents of the Georges River local government area who have difficulty visiting our libraries in person. This may be due to illness, injury, frailty or disability. Deliveries are made regularly to your place of residence.
Why should I join?
You can borrow any items available for loan from the Georges River Libraries. This includes:
- Books, audio books, DVDs and magazines
- Puzzles, games, gadgets & musical instruments
- eResources including digital newspapers, online tutorials, eBooks, audiobooks, eMagazines and eComics
- A large range of materials in Chinese and other community languages
Improve your memory and brain function with the best that your library has to offer.

Who can join?
The service is available to residents of the Georges River local government area. Membership is also open to carers, aged care facilities and community support groups on approval.
A referral will be required from a doctor, health care professional, social worker or nursing service stating that you have difficulty visiting one of our libraries in person.
